The Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) of NMSM Government College Kalpetta is a statutory body constituted in accordance with the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Government of Kerala to ensure a safe and equitable working environment free from sexual harassment for all employees and students. The committee is committed to promoting gender equality, addressing issues of sexual harassment, and creating awareness about gender sensitization within the institution.

The ICC’s primary responsibility is to receive complaints related to sexual harassment and misconduct, conduct impartial inquiries, and take necessary actions in compliance with the college’s policies and legal guidelines. It operates under the college’s gender policy, implemented during the academic year 2019-20, and plays a crucial role in upholding the dignity and rights of all individuals on campus.

The committee comprises faculty members and an external expert, ensuring that diverse perspectives are represented. For the academic year 2023-24, the ICC members are Dr. Rajimol M.S., Dr. Smitha E.K., Smt. Aswathi V.N., Smt. Sheeja P.M., and Smt. Sonia Sebastian. The ICC has taken steps to raise awareness about its functions through class tutors and other communication channels.
