Department of Hindi

Department of Hindi

The Department of Hindi, established in the year 1982, offers the additional language course for the students of BA, BSc, and BCom.

Academic Offerings

The department of Hindi gives students an understanding of the Hindi language and literature and helps them achieve practical communication skills that are necessary for everyday life. The department envisions communication-oriented education that allows the students to improve their proficiency in Hindi.

In FYUGP, Hindi Department offers specialized General Foundation Courses aimed at enhancing communication skills and creative writing in Hindi. Our program is designed for students from diverse fields such as languages, humanities, science, commerce, and management. Through courses like “Hindi Bhasha mein Sanchar aur Rachanatmak Lekhan” and “Sanchar Kaushal Vikas,” we help students develop proficiency in Hindi while also understanding its cultural and literary significance.

The Multidisciplinary Course (MDC) “Hindi Cinema mein Samajik Sarokar” at CUFYUG delves into the critical role that Hindi cinema plays in addressing and reflecting societal concerns. This course explores how films have been a mirror to societal issues such as poverty, gender inequality, caste discrimination, and political movements. Students will analyze key films and their narratives to understand the impact of cinema in shaping public opinion and driving social change. Through this course, learners gain insights into the intersection of art and society, enhancing both their critical thinking and appreciation of Hindi cinema as a tool for social commentary.

Extension Activity
