NMSM Government College, Kalpetta
On June 10th, 2019, NMSM Government College, Kalpetta, took a significant step towards fostering innovation and protecting intellectual property by establishing the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Cell. This initiative aligns with the institution’s vision of promoting research, innovation, and entrepreneurship among its faculty and students.
Objectives of the IPR Cell
The primary objective of the IPR Cell is to create awareness about the importance of intellectual property rights and to encourage the college’s academic community to protect their inventions, research, and creative works through appropriate legal frameworks. The cell aims to:
- Educate students and faculty about patents, copyrights, trademarks, and designs.
- Provide guidance on the process of applying for intellectual property protection.
- Facilitate workshops, seminars, and expert talks on IPR-related topics.
- Support faculty and students in filing for patents or other IP protections for their innovations and research findings.
