The Department started in the year 1981. As the district holds a lion share of youngsters with athletic caliber, there is a higher provisions to upgrade the department with core programs of UG and PG. Highly qualified faculty. The Department having a single faculty has its own limitations as lack of core programs. Cutting edge facilities like 400 meter Synthetic track with football field, indoor stadium, aquatic complex are in the making.
